It is the purpose of TORKS to be a not for profit organization formed to promote interest in model aviation, to maintain a field for flying, to organize and promote flying contests, to promote the interests of its members, and to be a chartered club of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA).
- Hey Torks members, hope y’all have had an excellent flying season and now with the holidays just around the corner, I Hope you’ve been getting together your Christmas list so Santa can bring you lots of R/C toys for next year. If you’re like me, you’re building your new masterpiece. In my case, it’s
a scratch built Dehavilland Mosquito, which I hope to have flying by spring. Also don’t forget all the cool flea markets this winter, I went to one in Cincinnati several weeks ago and there’s some more coming up soon. For me, it’s always great to see old friends I might not have seen for a while as well
as get some great deals on some cool stuff. As you know, we don’t meet over the winter so until I see you again have a great holiday and hope to see all your new projects flying next spring.
